you like?  the red is so much more vibrant in the sunshine...i'll have to take a few more pictures :)  i have wanted the ginger look for quite awhile now and i promised myself once my hair got long enough that i would take the plunge.  i am really enjoying it and think this one will stick around for awhile!  hope you all had a beautiful day. pillow talk

at the end of each day matthew and i have a pillow talk...this is one of the things i look forward to most.  we are winded down and all we care about is what each other has to say.

it's not usually too serious...we talk about the good parts of our day, the bad and how we can make it better, our dreams and goals, how we want to decorate our future city loft...the conversation is endless.  it's things like this that keep us connected and in tune with one another.  we are reminded everyday of the things that make our hearts smile...there's nothing better! the flowers have bloomed and the baby birds are learning how to fly...the second day of summer couldn't be more beautiful!

my mister left early this morning for a five day 350 mile bike ride with his dad.  i already miss him like crazy, but i know he will have a blast camping out and riding.  today for lunch i thought it would be nice to order some take out and eat outside.  i went to the park bench where matthew proposed to relax and have some me time while eating some sushi (yes i know i'm addicted to this stuff!).

the water was near by so it was a bit windy and i ended up having to finish up my lunch in the car.  it wasn't the most ideal situation, but none the less it brought back such sweet memories of when he knelt down on one knee and asked me to be his forever and always.  :)

shades of purple - IN MY HAIR!!

yup...that's purple in my hair!  i went to my awesome hairstylist bill to get a blonde highlight touch up and a trim and we both thought...let's do something fun and add in some purple.  i am absolutely in love with it.  the color is a pretty plum,  the lighting when we took these pictures wasn't the best but i plan to keep this color for awhile so you'll see it plenty more :)

love in the air - what i wore

i recently came across a heart bokeh effect to add to photos and thought i would give it a try today :)  i think it turned out pretty cool....i am in love with bokeh, but unfortunately do not have the right kind of lens to pull that pretty stuff off...in the meantime i'll stick to these fabulous photoshop tools!

i have been asked recently who takes the pictures for my "what i wore" posts...these photos are courtesy of my fabulous husband matthew!  i don't think he realized he was going to become a professional when i purchased penelope.  luckily he loves me and puts up with all of my random shenanigans.  hope you all have a fabulous evening. dinner and a movie - what i wore

all the pretty colors - what i wore

spring is my favorite season and when i saw this scarf it reminded me of all the pretty colors you see when everything starts to bloom :)  i had to have it!  what's your favorite season?

dandelion wishes - what i wore

so you may have noticed that i didn't count this outfit in my 30 for 30.  i did in fact do the whole 30 for 30, but unfortunately didn't take a picture of every outfit.  so ultimately i guess i failed the challenge...at least the picture taking part :)

anyway, you may recall the random supplies i posted a picture of earlier today for the creation of the window display i'm putting up tomorrow.  this dandelion flower is one of the things i made.  this single flower took me about 3 hours to make.  it is made up of a copper pipe wrapped in masking take, a styrofoam ball and 700 (yes 700!!) pink died q-tips.  i have two others i plan on making...what the heck was i thinking?!  i thought since one was done it would be fun to include in the pictures.

i'm heading out to dinner tonight to celebrate my birthday (yes i'm an april fool) with my fabulous husband and friends :) hope you all have a fantastic evening as well. XO, lindsay
