the capitol - what i wore - day 18

our state capitol is absolutely beautiful.  as many of you know it was the ceremony and reception location of our wedding.  unfortunately it was closed so we had to resort to pictures outside, but that's okay.  the stairs to the main entry is breathtaking.  unfortunately these pictures don't really do it justice.  i will have to make the capitol the location for another set of what i wore pictures.

matthew and i are headed to omaha later today with family for dinner and then we're going to see an irish band at a pub.  super pumped! i hope to get lots of fun pictures and maybe even another video :)  also i have been planning a big giveaway of my own to hold hopefully next week.  once that little GFC makes its way to 500 followers (holy crap!!) I will announce it.  i wanted to do something special as a thank you to you all...seriously!  Hint: a part of the giveaway includes a gift card from one of my very favorite places to go to get inspiration for window displays!!

cherry lips - what i wore - day 17

i've never really been one for lipstick except for special occasions.  i decided it was one of those special occasions...not for any reason, just because.  sometimes it's nice to do something a little different...step outside of the box.  for me  it was lipstick :)  every time i wear it matthew always says something..."you have color on your lips, i like it.  i like that lipstick stuff." so maybe that's a hint that i should treat every day like a special occasion.  sometimes change is good :)

i heard just a few days ago that it was the first day of spring.  you seem to have dissapeared off of the face of the earth.  where are you?  i am waiting as patiently as i can...you are my favorite season you know...so please don't dissapoint me.  i froze my bum off taking these pictures and i would appreciate some sunshine and warmth soon.

ivy has finally decided to make an appearance...i simply adore her and feel badly that i have not picked her up lately.  my love for acoustic melodies inspired me to begin to teach myself how to play guitar a near 8 years ago.  i still have so much to learn and hope to dedicate more time to this passion of mine.

pretty little pinwheels - what i wore - day 10

i made these pretty little pinwheels to use as centerpieces at our wedding...350 of them to be exact.  they've been sitting in our basement untouched since june 12th of last year.  i haven't had the heart to throw them away...they're just too pretty.  besides i think the vintage blue mason jars, unpopped popcorn and candy striped straws would miss them to much :)

so today they were the focal point in my day 10 outfit pictures...i knew they would be good for something! XO, lindsay

hello lovelies!  hope you have had a fantastic today.  okay first of all you may notice that not one of these pictures i am looking at matthew...remember i told you i am camera shy, or possibly it was the sun gleaming right above his head.  but that's okay, the sun was perfect for these few pictures because i decided to use one of my favorite art canvas prints that we have in our home as a prop.  it reminds me of an african safari.  i adore that zebra painting!  have a beautiful evening friends.
