let tomorrow be tomorrow.

i find myself getting overwhelmed by the "big" picture these days - thinking too far ahead...
worried about what may or may not happen, where i will or will not be.
i try my best to live each day to the fullest...
but sometimes i stray, and find the need to remind myself to live in the moment

you never truly know what the future holds
most of it you have absolutely no control over...so stop trying, stop worrying.
7 months ago i never would have imagined that my marriage would end,
that i would be here in this moment living in knoxville, tennessee planning to move back to chicago - a place i used to call home many many years ago.

throughout all of my trials and tribulations, happiness and hardships, if i have learned anything at all it is...
life has no guarantees or promises.

but what we can do is live for today, take everything as it comes - the good & bad
learn a few lessons along the way, make some mistakes, become a better person...

appreciate this day today and let tomorrow be tomorrow.

xoxo

  1. You are beautiful! And life is so unexpected, but the important this is how you deal with it.

  2. if there is one thing i've learned it's that life is not perfect and you just can't expect it to be. but at the same time... it so is. because when life hands you things and people and flaws and sickness and sadness if you have people that really love you, that's what matters at the end of the day. you my dear have a beautiful spirit and attitude!

  4. I too have a hard time of trying to get a grasp on living in the moment. All you can do is try your hardest.
I'm so sorry to hear about your marriage.
I always tell my best friend this one statement: "everything happens for a reason". Yes, it's cliche, but it's so true. What I love is that when something bad happens to either of us, we can always turn to each other and we know the sentence that's about to come out of the other's mouth.
    Keep trucking and keep smiling.

P.s. Hope you remember me from A Daring Little Life! I'm blogging again over at

  9. Agreed! Live for today is wonderful advice. I have the hardest time with not knowing what's going to happen in the future, and constantly worrying about that. I should stop worrying so much!
