spring window display - the full creation

okay, so my last few posts have included a few sneak peak pictures of the new spring window display i created for stella and i thought it was time to share the full details.

i wanted to keep things simplistic for the large window.  i decided to use one of the dress forms in the shop and create a paper dress out of sewing pattern paper.  at the waist i tied pretty lace ribbon and attached hundreds of strips of pattern paper.

to add more dimension i attached pieces of the paper to the walls and windows.

the smaller window i wanted to be full of color and fun.  this is where i placed the dandelions.  these were made with a styrofoam ball, pink died q-tips and bendable copper piping wrapped with cream masking tape.

to add more fun detail i created a honey bee's nest.  this was molded out of poultry wire and then wrapped with brown packing tape.  i thought the hanging honey bears were a nice touch :)

the pictures of the display always turn out better at night, so i stopped by the shop later that evening and got a few more pictures.

i'm already thinking of some ideas for the summer display...i'm thinking a road trip theme with many more flowers!!  hope you all have a fabulous monday! XO, lindsay
