Hey everybody! I'm so excited to be a part of In Her Shoes. Scenic Glory is definitely one of the best blog out there. Without her kind words and encouragement, I probably wouldn't have continued my blog. I'm still pretty new to blogging, and trying to figure things out, so I'm super excited to get myself out there and to share a little but about myself with all of you! I'm always looking for new blogs and ways to get to know people better!

Thanks, Lindsay!

What Motivates you to get your day started?

To be honest, most of the time the only thing getting me up in the morning is knowing I have to go to class. Some days, even that isn't enough ;) I try to start on a positive note every morning. For me, this means waking up with enough time to have a cup of coffee, eat a good breakfast, put on a cute outfit and do my hair/make up, and maybe have a few minutes to just sit and talk with my roommates.

what part of your day do you most look forward to and why?

I always look forward to spending time with people. I have amazing people in my life, and I can't imagine going a day without talking to them in some way. My roommates are the sweetest people alive, and a lot of the times, my favorite part of the day is when we're all sitting on the couch talking, eating dinner, or playing Mario Kart. I also go to a Campus Christian Organization, called InterVarsity, once a week- it's amazing! That's definitely the highlight of my week.

what do you like most about where you live?

I'm originally from Connecticut, so when I moved to North Carolina before 8th grade, I was devestated. It ended up being the exact change I needed in my life. I got involved in my church, brought my Mom, brother, and I closer, and made me realize that God really does have a plan for everything! The weather here is great, my friends are amazing, and I would never go back! It's also super fun living on my college's campus. There's always something to do!

what part of your day is the most difficult and what do you do to overcome that?

I wouldn't say any specific part of my day is difficult. I've had classes that I hated, gotten into arguments with people, or just been down, and those are all hard to deal with. But I just try to go through difficult times with a positive, open mind! It's always easier when I'm in a good place with God. Praying, reading the Bible, and spending time with people who are good influences always makes the hard times easier.

what do you love most about yourself today?

I love that I have my morals and I stick to them. I'm a pretty easy going person, but when I have an opinion about something I don't change myself for other people. I think that's something to love about myself, right? :)

My favorite Quote/Bible Verse:
"You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you." Isaiah 26:3
