taking flight - a new illustration/watercolor

good morning lovelies!  i thought i would share with you my latest creation.  i call it taking flight.

i had class last night and the assignment was to create and draw an illustration and then use watercolors to add some dimension.  i have never used watercolors before but i can say i absolutely loved it.  have any of you worked with this medium?  i'd love to see your work!

i loved this project so much, i think i will be investing in the materials so i can do more with it at home - you know with all the free time i have ;)

    How beautiful!! I love to paint and use water colors but my work doesn't come out half as pretty as yours!! I am looking forward to enrolling in a painting class this summer :)

    teach me these ways.
    i've only used acrylic.
    i want to use water color.
