my beautiful bridesmaids and flower girls. i let my girls pick out their own favorite dresses and ordered vintage parasols from seattle for them to use instead of flowers.
can you see the butterflies floating in the air above us? our harpist played wind beneath my wings while matthew and i released nearly a dozen butterflies one at a time. each butterfly memorializing a loved one who could not be there that day.

I love the idea of the butterflies. I have a little over a year until our wedding and it's very important to me to indicate that just because people are not with us today does not mean they didn't have a big impact on our lives! Love it. Great photos!

ReplyDeleteLoving the pics! I've seen the parasols before, which is a cool alternative to bouquets, but I'm not sure I've heard of having the wedding party pick out their own outfits. And I think that was cool to release the butterflies in memory of the loved ones who couldn't be there.
