What motivates you to get your day started?
Every morning when I wake up I roll over and grab my iPhone. I love checking my Twitter feed and my favorite blogs first thing in the morning. It wakes me up and it gets me excited about the day [or as excited as I can be] Reading about what’s going on in my fellow bloggers’ lives keeps me motivated and focused on school so I can someday do what I love for a living.
What part of your day do you most look forward to and why?
I absolutely adore blogging. Right now it’s probably one of my favorite parts of my day. I just love being able to sit back and write about my day, edit photos, and interact with other crafty people out there.
I also look forward to the days when I get to see my amazing boyfriend, Mike. I’m currently a design student at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. It’s pretty much in the middle of no-where so I live about 45 minutes away from Mike right now unfortunately. Luckily, I do get to see him once during the week and during the weekend as well. He is a huge reason why my blog is what it is. He pushes me to be who I want to be, and not what is expected of me. I love him very much [insert ooey gooey “aww”s here]

What do you like most about where you live?
At times I resent Oxford for being so far away from things but really, it’s a lovely place to live. It’s so beautiful and obviously since I live in a college town, there are tons of things to do on the weekends. It’s also a plus that I am just a few steps away from all of my friends.
Oxford is so beautiful in the Fall. All the red brick buildings on Miami’s campus just seem to make the changing leaves pop. Really, Oxford is beautiful no matter what season we’re in. When it’s snowy, I just want to take pictures all day and when the grass is green I just want to lay in the quad for hours. Miami has an amazing hockey team which is great because hockey is one of my favorite sports. Games are so fun to go to, the students really get into the game.
What part of your day is the most difficult and what do you do to overcome that?
Probably when I’m trying to get my schoolwork done. It’s very hard for me to sit down and get my projects done when I’d rather be crafting and working on stuff for my blog and Etsy shop. I just have to remind myself that I only have a year and a half left and after that I will be able to do whatever I want. A degree in design can only help me :]
What do you love most about yourself today?
Hmm... I guess the most thing I’m proud of myself for these days it how I’m finally trying to make my dreams a reality rather than working towards a life that the world made me thing was “normal”. In high school I always loved art but didn’t go into it as a major in college because I was told by countless people, “There’s no money in art”. I loved architecture and decided to go into that instead because I thought it would be a more stable career to go into, not to mention the money was good. I don’t regret going into Architecture as a degree. It opened my eyes to the awesomeness that is graphic design. Without my architecture classes focused on Photoshop and Illustrator, I wouldn’t have the amazing graphic design job I have now, and I wouldn’t be doing this interview right now. I have, however, started to focus on what I want, rather than what I think is best. I don’t focus on making tons of money anymore rather leading a life that I can look back on and be proud of.
