granny smith or red delicious?

just before halloween i went to the apple barn in tennessee with my family.  i had never been and was so happy to be able to stop by while i was in town to visit.  the apple fritters with apple butter was beyond amazing...i could have eaten them all day long!

so what's your pick...granny smith or red delicious (or none of the above) ?!? :)

  1. I am a lover of a granny smith, in fact the only apple I will eat unless i have the option of a gala apple right off the tree, its like eating an apple with no skin just DIVINE!

  4. Ooh...depends on how I'm feeling. :) For general consumption, red delicious, but for various apple-y treats I like green ones.

glad you had such a great time at the Apple Barn with your family :) I would've stalked up on golden delicious apples!! they're my favorite. And granny smith would come before red delicious in my book. I love the sourness :)

  6. I'm not sure....haven't tested those 2. Your blog inspired me to change my post today. I hope we're still friends. You're my guru. I had just recently tested apples and I just had to post it since you inspired me. Your trip sounds sooo cool. I'm a Fuji gal...well at least now.

  8. OK, so, apparently Washington isn't the only state that likes apples a lot ;)

I'm not sure about all the different types, but I prefer red apples over green or yellow. I don't know what, but there's just something about the taste of red apples that I like better. Those apple fritters sure do look yummy :)
