remembering lakeside - part l

one of my favorite parts about my recent trip to cleveland was the day that my grandparents took me to lakeside - a small gated community where cute cottages line the streets, squirrels run wild, sail boats glide across the water and seagulls chirp to their hearts content.

i have so many happy memories of this place from my childhood.  my grandparents owned their own cottage in this town and many of my summer weekends were spent their with all of my family.  i can honestly say it was probably some of the best times of my life.  going out on boat rides, building sand castles...it doesn't get much better!  i hope one day to take my future family there and share all of my favorite stories :)

  1. These pictures are GORGEOUS. And your memories, even more so. I love the idea of small communities. I'm a small town girl, it's what I love and crave. Especially the peacefulness. <3

Also, I really really really adore the last picture. So feminine and unique! And I love the hint of a spider web. ^_^

  3. I love Lakeside! <3 I used to go there every summer when I was a kid, but it's been quite a few years since I've gone. I miss it so much. Thanks for this, it resurfaced some good memories. :)
