inspired by ethnic textiles

photos found on pinterest

i have been searching for home decorating inspiration recently and found that ethnic textiles is a must when we get started (actually i think it is a must in my wardrobe, hence the first picture!).  the patterns contain so much color and drama.  i especially like the last picture to the right.  the idea of overlapping rugs really strikes me.  i think the idea is unique and different...what about you?

i have been talking to my sister in law who takes occasional trips to india for her job... i hope to be able to go with her sometime in the near future.  perhaps i can pick up some beautiful textiles there myself, for my home, wardrobe and shop!  i wish i could go now!!

hope you all had a beautiful relaxing weekend. XO, lindsay

  1. I am in love with the wall decor of it all. I think for an apartment, if you get a couple of rugs, hang them from the ceiling it would be amazing and fun. I might give it a try.

  5. I absolutely love ethnic textiles. For years I loved Indian/Nepali, but lately I've been more into the eastern European/Russian-flowery fabrics. Gorgeous!
