nature hikes and goldfish crackers
happy weekend lovelies! i just got back from a mini vacation with one of my besties. we went outside of town to a state park and spent an evening at a lodge. this morning we woke up and headed into the great outdoors for an early morning nature hike.
sadly we didn't see many animals...however, we were accompanied by colorful goldfish....goldfish crackers i should say.
from the very start of the trail we noticed bright colorful goldfish crackers leading the way through the entire route about every 3 feet or so. it was so comical. whoever dropped them along the way must have used at least a full bags worth!
the trees were beautiful...so green and bright. there was a nice breeze in the air too...it was the perfect way to start the morning.
matthew and i are headed to a graduation party this evening. spending time with family and friends is exactly the way i wanted to spend the day today. what are you up to this weekend?

The colorful goldfish are hilarious! Someone certainly didn't want to get lost.
ReplyDeleteI think a morning hike, and return to nature, would be great for my mind right now! I believe I'm inspired... :)
If interested, I'm hosting my first link-up starting tonight (at 7 pm est), The Sundae Hop. I'd love for you to join in!

ReplyDeleteHa what a cute trail!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I love the Goldfish story- must have been so comical!
ReplyDeleteHow funny!! Hansel and Gretel maybe?!? :)
ReplyDeleteThat's so adorable. I completely imagine a little girl dropping them with such great intent.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if it was a real life Hansel and Gretel?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful scenery! I wish the bare trees around here looked like that but there's not enough sunlight very often and the branches seem to be stuck together! They should open up into beautiful leaves in the coming weeks though :)
Haha! Who ever that someone was, I like this persons sense of humor! These goldfish crackers crack me up - so random :D Sounds like you had a fab weekend! :) xox mervi
