in her shoes - a feature with christa jae

good afternoon lovely people.  i hope the sun is shining brightly in your little corner of the world ♥  i have a new in her shoes feature to share with you all today.  meet christa!  i have become great friends with this little lady and simply adore her creativity and fabulous design work.  here is a look at a day in her shoes.

Hi there, I'm Christa from christajae, a blog of my {molly's too} small but sometimes interesting adventures!

What motivates you to get your day started?

Within the past year, getting up has definitely gotten a little more difficult, but I would say my puppy, Molly (you will learn that I am obsessed with my dog. she is so cute!!) motivates me to get up. Not just because she is the cutest little doggy ever, but literally, she waits for me to get up, and when I take my time, she slowly creeps from laying at my feet to laying on my chest, just staring at me until I open my eyes. Finally, when I open my eyes, she does this adorable little stretch with both of her paws. So she is most definitely a motivation/motivator to me getting up, but also the fact that I do work and go to school. You gotta do what you gotta do. Right?

What part of your day do you look forward to and why?

Each day is different. On the days that we are able to hangout, I look forward to seeing my wonderful boyfriend. We both are full time students at different schools, and I work, and he plays college soccer, so when we aren't on break our schedules tend to clash a little. So like I said, when we do see each other, he is definitely the highlight of my day! He is absolutely amazing. On the days we don't get to see each other, it is usually going home and cuddling my puppy while I crochet. It is my stress relieving hobby and I love it!

What do you love most about where you live?

I have a bittersweet relationship with where I live. I live in the heart of Southern California. I am literally 30 minutes (give or take a few) from everything: the city/Los Angeles, the desert, the mountains, and the beach! That is probably the thing I love most about it here. Although I do love seasons and snow, I can't complain really about our,more often than not, warm weather! Although, it can be a little frustrating at times when it is 80 degrees in the dead of winter!

What part of your day is most difficult and what do you do to overcome that?
I don't really have a most difficult part of the day. At least not everyday. When I do experience a difficult moment in any given day, weather it be with people, emotions, or whatever, I usually just stop and pray! That is something that has always and will always help me, is just stopping and praying to God. It works every time! :)

What do you love most about yourself today?

Today? hhmmm. Well today, I am loving the "change" I feel. I feel like lately I have been growing a lot. Meaning I have been growing as a person. Working and going to school, along with paying bills and managing all the relationships I hold so dear really challenges you to grow. I feel like I have matured so much in the last 2 years. I know we all mature some way or another, but the is definitely where my maturing is happening and I LOVE that! I love knowing that I can manage all the things I juggle without struggle (hehe that rhymes). So that is probably the park I love most about me today, is my growth as a person!
