we all scream for ice cream (after dinner of course)!

we went down to the haymarket again for dinner last night to celebrate lisa's (matthew's mom!) birthday with the family.  matthew's aunt and uncle also came along and brought their little ones too :)  i was lucky enough to have them sit by me so i was able to get a few shots!  the one pictured just above is my favorite (pictured: cindy the beautiful mommy :) - emma and colin).

after dinner we headed across the street to our favorite local ice cream shoppe ivana cone...they hand make the ice cream right there in the shop in the old time ice cream makers...their flavors are always changing and so amazing!!

matthew and i as well as little colin decided on the blue moon...tasted like fruit loops folks that's all i have to say :)  not pictured in these photos - lisa the birthday girl, brian (matthew's parents) and mike (the uncle).  i guess i just spent so much time photographing the kids...shame on me!

hope you all have had a beautiful weekend! how did you spend your saturday night? XO, Lindsay

  2. No shame on you for taking pictures of just the kids! I pretty much do that at every single family get together with my 5 little cousins (well, 4, since the oldest is a teenager - eek!).

Love the pics! Looks like you all had fun.

There's a frozen yogurt shop across the street from my college that just opened about a year ago that changes their flavors often. You choose the flavor and all the toppings (they have a wide selection). I've gone a couple times and have gotten slightly carried away with the toppings :P

  9. Yesterday when you posted that you and Matthew had walked around the Haymarket I was going to ask if you had been to Ivana's--we went there this summer and had rice crispie treat ice cream, so good!

We always have Blue Moon ice cream in Michigan every summer--I've never been able to find it anywhere else! How fun :)
