in her shoes - a garden of eden designs feature

yay it's the middle of the week and i have 2 new in her shoes features to share with you all :)

up first is the oh so lovely victoria of garden of eden designs.  her blog is filled with so much creativity and inspiration and i am so happy to have the opportunity to share her with you all today!  here is a look at a day in her shoes...

what motivates you to get your day started?

you know that feeling you get when you have finally finished one of your many projects you have undoubtedly added on to your plate even though it was already completely full? that feeling that is a combination of relief, self respect, and pure bliss? well, that feeling motivates my day. i no doubt am one of those people that has a project list the length of the population of china... that's right my friends... never ending! but each morning i still wake up ecstatic about the possibilities and potential of the day ahead of me. it is somewhat exhilarating (and yes, somewhat psychotic, i know).

what part of your day do you most look forward to and why?

i look forward to my first sip of coffee. not because i am a caffeine addict (even though i am), but because it is what let's me know i have been given another day. another day to do great things; knowing that i have a full day ahead of me to observe, create, and simply live really reminds me to appreciate what i have. so each morning i sip, smile, and repeat.

what do you like most about where you live?

what i like most about where i live isn't the where, it is the who. i could live in my dream penthouse on fifth avenue or on a private island in the tropics that has the perfect weather year-round, but unless i am completely surrounded by the people that make my life the constant adventure it is, i would not be happy. i thrive on the energy of others (and trust me when i say my friends and family have some very strong energy). i have moved around quite a bit in my twenty-one years of life and i have learned to make the who more important than the where. my where may inspire me, but my who always completes me.

what part of your day is the most difficult and what do you do to overcome that?

i can't say that i necessarily have a difficult part of my day. i have days that are difficult and days that are not, but i take them as they come. depending on what the complication is also factors into how i overcome it. i am a very emotional person (not saying i am unstable), but i wholeheartedly throw myself into anything and everything i do, which is a gift, and occasionally my downfall. i try to remain positive no matter what, and yes, that is a feat sometimes in itself, but it is extremely important. when things go wrong i always allow myself time to fall completely apart, but i try my best to pull myself back together in a timely manner. i am constantly reminding myself that a flower needs rain and sunshine to grow.

what do you love most about yourself today?

today? oh where to start? my eyes are particularly green today... but i did just color my hair which i am loving... but i am also in a fantastic mood... and my wit is right on point, so let's go with a combination of those factors. today i am loving my falsely-colored, green-eyed, charmingly-positive self.
