in her shoes - a feature with mervi of my best friend jules

hello lovelies!  it's wednesday and you know what that means...it's time for a few in her shoes features!  first up is mervi of my best friend jules this lovely lady has become a dear friend of mine.  lucky girl is traveling in barcelona as we speak!  hope you're having a fab time mervi!  here is a day in her shoes :)

What motivates you to get your day started?

My best friend Salli is my greatest motivator! Here are a couple of photos of her in her element. Do I need to say more? ;)

What part of your day do you most look forward to and why?

When I’m on my way home from work - rushing to get there for some cuddles from my boyfriend. I still get that same butterflies-in-my-stomach feeling that I got when we first started dating in 2008. His cuddles are the best therapy.
 

What do you like most about where you live?

I live in Helsinki, the capital of Finland. I haven’t been born here, but I’ve grown to love this city as much as I love my little hometown Kauhajoki. I put together a little collage of my Helsinki favorites.

What part of your day is the most difficult and what do you do to overcome that?

Recently I’ve been such a morning-impaired person and waking up has been pure agony (even with Salli motivating me!). It’s the dark winter mornings that just make me want to sleep in and snuggle up. I’ve seriously been considering buying one of those alarm clocks that move on the floor. You hit snooze button and the alarm moves further away from your bed. So you actually have to get up to quiet down the little bugger. Honestly…after a while, I think I’d just drop it down the balcony and go back to bed. Ha!

At the moment, I feel that overcoming this sleeping-in-business seems almost impossible. Does any have good tips? Help! :)

What do you love most about yourself today?

I love the choices that I’ve made (even the bad ones). They’ve taken me here today and shaped me the way I am. 

I love my courage, even when jumping to the deep end – blind folded. I rarely regret things I have done. It all just adds to my character.

I love that I’m creative, even though it took me forever to realize it. We started writing our blog my best friend jules couple of months ago, and I feel that something woke up inside. I'm now more sure than ever of the things I want to be involved in. And I love it.

I love my ability to dream. I never run out of ideas to develop myself or experience more things. Couple of months ago I put together my map of dreams. I thought I’d be fun to share with you, and perhaps inspire you to do one as well. Dream big!
