in her shoes - a aiukli-because life is beautiful feature

hello again friends...how has your day been so far?  i hope beautiful.  my stepdad is in town for a few days and matthew and i got to have lunch with him today...it's been a good day :)

i have another in her shoes feature to share with you :) the amazingly wonderful mallori of aiukli - because life is beautiful has so nicely offered to contribute to this feature...take it away miss!

what motivates you to get your day started?

Today, my motivation for getting started is definitely a desire to see my friends that I missed over Christmas break. I also get to begin a weight training class today, and I'm excited about learning what is best for including weights into my work out routine. . . And there's also a cute boy in my first class today! ;-)

what part of your day do you most look forward to and why?

There are many parts of the day I look forward to. I look forward to my alone time the most. I use this time for blogging, checking e-mails, and reading the books I don't have to read for class. My current novel is The Hunger Games, a young adult reader referred to me by my friend Sam. I also look forward to the end of the day, just before bed, when my roommate and I are actually in the room at the same time. Our schedules are so crazy that we don't get to hang out too much, but we always have the end of the day together.

what do you like most about where you live?

What I love most about where I live now (while being at school) is that it IS a college town, but it's still small enough that I'm not too overwhelmed with how much larger it is than my hometown. It's kind of like the University is its own little city within the town. There is always something to do on campus, and always something to do with the community. And if that isn't enough, Oklahoma City is a short little drive, so we go to the Ford Center quite often for OKC Thunder games :)

what part of your day is the most difficult and what do you do to overcome that?

The most difficult part of my day is, hands-down, getting out of bed. I love sleep. I love to sleep a lot. I hate alarm clocks. I hate early mornings (which is humorous because all of my classes this morning start earlier than I usually schedule them). I generally overcome that by mentally preparing myself for the day. I kind of run through the things I need to get accomplished before I get back into my haven. And the other way I overcome getting out of bed is by knowing that I will be seeing friends all throughout the day. Living in a sorority house keeps you from ever being alone.

what do you love most about yourself today?

Today, I love that I am starting my last semester as well rounded as possible: I am taking two workout classes, one weight training, one jam-packed with cardio, and I will be taking a piano class. I love that today I took the time to get ready, and it's added a little extra pep into my step. I'm ready to take on my final semester with a good attitude :)
