i see a dinner date and a painting party in my future ♥

i mentioned earlier last week that this friday is mine and matthews 5 year (dating) anniversary.  we wanted to do something a little different (he was dissapointed when i told him laser tag was not what i had in mind - besides we just played laser tag with friends just over a month ago).  we are going to a nice restaurant that neither of us have ever been to and then we're going to head over to this fun painting place called, paint yourself silly

this is how it works...

choose your pottery

pick out your paints

create something so incredibly fantastic that it should be in a museum...or a kitchen museum :)

go back in a week to pick it up after it's been glazed

do any of you have a place like this in your area?  i am so excited to do this together!  it should be fun...it will be a nice keepsake too :)

  23. Lindsay! That will be a fun date. I never brought Charlie but I did go with a bunch of friends a few years ago. I made a super cute mug (a huge mug) that I use to soup and candy, sometimes dip! I will take a photo this week if I remember to put it up. You can do so many creative things. I used lace on mine to add a texture to it. Have fun and take pictures!! Congratulations again on your long lovey life together!!!

    xoxo

  24. Oh my goodness this is so fun! Sam and I did this a few years ago and had a blast! We painted each other coffee mugs and wrote little messages on the bottom. It's such a fun, low-key activity, especially for an anniversary. Sam thinks his mug looks like a 5 year old painted it, but it's my absolute favorite for drinking tea :) You'll love it!

  27. I especially love this because this is what Cooper and I did on our very first date, February 8th of 2007! So every year we go back with the money the we saved throughout the year in our pink hippo piggy bank that we painted on our first date together;-)
