feeling nostalgic - a trip down memory lane
is it funny that i absolutely love going to the old fashioned soda pop shop, yet i don't like pop?
there's just something about the atmosphere...the 50's music, glass bottles, retro signs, mountains of salt water taffy! i wish i could step back in time to live during this era for a little bit. i know i would love it...especially the clothes! do any of you have a place like this by you? xo,lindsay

so colorful! unfortunately i don't know of any place like this around where i live, or maybe i just need to get out more. if i had a time machine i would definitely go back to the 50's. it sounds and looks so fun. wearing poodle skirts, side pony tails, and all. :)
ReplyDeleteWow, how neat! We have a Fitz's rootbeer place around us, where you can eat and watch them bottle the rootbeer.
ReplyDeleteOh man i LOVE places like that. & of course love that era. I too wish I could have lived in that era. We'd bring all kinds of awesome to the 50's if I do say so myself! ;)
ReplyDeleteWe have a few places like that around here and I adore them and of course love the POP. Preferably diet. ha. & who doesn't love some salt water taffy. Cherry Coke is my fav right now.
Hope your having a lovely weekend!
i don't think we have anything like it! how fun and neat and interesting even if you aren't into the drinking of it!
ReplyDeleteThere's a store/ice cream and sandwich shop near where my grandma lives that has just about every single Coke memorabilia ever made. Yes, there are newer stuff on the shelves, but the store has been around for about 50 or so years so there's a lot of old-fashioned stuff in there. It's really cool (plus they have DELICIOUS ice cream!)
ReplyDeleteI do! I've been there a couple times and it's so much fun!
ReplyDeleteWhere is this?
ReplyDeleteI'm loving all those photos. That place looks awesome :)
ReplyDeleteAll of the photos are amazing. As far as I know, there aren't any place like this near me. Because if there are, I might go to that place too often since I love retro things so much hehe
ReplyDeleteThat place is incredible!!
ReplyDeleteWow, I have never even heard of a place like this- how amazing! You really have helped me to appreciate vintage, my friend~!
ReplyDeleteWOW that is an awesome store. I haven't seen anything so cool before! Are you loving your camera or what??
ReplyDeleteLoving your pictures so far! And no it's not weird that you like visiting that shop EVEN if you don't like soda! Plus the pictures are fab. So please, keep on visitin' yeah?!!
ReplyDeleteWow - these are fabulous! We used to have a place called Folio 5o in Birmingham where I'd buy my ripped 501's and Doc Martin boots! But it closed and got replaced by designers shops. Its a tragedy really.
ReplyDeleteAnyway - I have recommended you to receive the Sweetest Blog Award. Pop by any time to collect it at my blog: wordsinsync.blogspot.com
Congratulations Lindsey ;)

I have yet to visit this store! What am I waiting for? Oh...a day when I don't have to take one of the kids with me, probably. If I took one of them, we'd probably have to buy everything in the store. :-)
