under the same sky

last night  matthew and i set our alarm for 1:30 am so we could catch a glimpse of the lunar eclipse.  we stood outside our front door gazing up watching this magical, once in a lifetime moment together.  i sent a text message to a dear friend letting her know that it was happening that very second and to go check it out!

her and i had just spoken on the phone earlier that evening discussing all kinds of fun things, including a few details about our road trip that we plan to take to kansas city in the summer...so excited to finally meet her!  i had told her that the summer seemed so long away and that i wished we didn't have to wait so long...but last night as i was standing outside looking at the moon knowing she was doing just the same, i smiled and thought to myself...summer isn't too far away...until we meet i will enjoy being under the same sky.

so next time you miss a friend, family or loved one just look to the sky and enjoy it together!

have a beautiful day!
